A wonderful boutique hotel with real character in the heart of the Old City, just a few minutes walk from major attractions, all at an extremely affordable price. I will stay again when in Chiang Mai. Lots of restaurants, massage, and coffee shops nearby. With only 12 rooms, guests receive personalized attention. The staff were welcoming and professional. Ms. Gade, the owner, is a fount of information, and the receptionists, Mee and Auto, were both sensational. They all offered help with everything from tours to Grab taxis to food recommendations. My room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and importantly for me, extremely quiet, even if the bathroom was perhaps a bit on the small side. The room was cleaned daily and fresh linens provided. Breakfasts were tremendous. Order the night before from quite a unique menu of offerings, including Turkish and Thai favorites (rice soup, rice porridge, and eggs with northern Thai sausage), and western standbys such as French toast. I would return just for the fluffy pancakes with fruit! Excellent coffee. I almost always seek out boutique properties when traveling, and Elliebum was perfect for me.

It is a fabulous place to stay and to explore the old towns treasures on and off the beaten path. There can be arranged also personalised tours and the manager is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to places to visit. This is a real hotel with appropriate service from reception to bar and room. You can get help with anything and every request was fulfilled with a smile. The staff is also able to handle more personal issues like food intolerances. The breakfast was delicious and abundant with many choices and freshly prepared for you at your own time! It is possible to spend a whole afternoon in the lovely lobby/ garden area with a good book and a cool drink. The rooms are spacious and have windows for fresh air flow when it’s cool enough outside.

Loved our stay here. I feel so fussy with hotels and usually go for a high end chain brand but this was definitely worth a chance. The family feel of this hotel was so unique. The staff made sure you were always fine and made sure you had a plan for the day. The food was really good for breakfast and cocktails in the evening. They had all the amenities you could need. The room was cleaned every day and remained spotless. The location was amazing and we enjoyed a massage over the road at good herb and a 7 minute walk to 7/11, pharmacy. I can't recommend this place enough and the value was unbelievable. We would definitely stay here again over the bigger hotels.

Elliebum was gorgeous and the staff were incredible! Upon arrival we got a little snack and drink, they have flyers for information around town and were happy to answer any questions. The room was spacious and stunning (very boutique) and the bathroom was really lovely. There was a decent range of breakfast meals to choose from (you just had to tell the hotel staff what you wanted the day before), and some that they could do earlier if required. The location was incredible - within walking distance of all parts of the old town, plus the Night Bazaar. Would highly recommend!

Lovely place, clean, comfortable beds and very friendly staff. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made us smile every morning with the latte art coffees (one of the best coffees I had in Thailand) at breakfast and friendly chats we had with them. Location is in old town on walking distance from the night markets and about 10 minutes from the airport. Would recommend this small hotel to friends for sure.
